Introduction [Biosketch]

Dr. Arun Rajput is currently working as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at NIT Silchar, Assam. Prior to joining NIT Silchar, he also served as a Post-Doctoral Fellow in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at IIT (BHU) Varanasi and IIT Kanpur. He obtained his Ph.D. from IIT Kanpur in 2022, where his doctoral research focused on the effect of composition and microstructures on the cavitation-erosion-corrosion behaviour of steels. He completed his M.Tech. from IIT Delhi and his B.Tech. from Uttar Pradesh Technical University, Lucknow. He is the recipient of the prestigious SERB National Post-Doctoral Fellowship (N-PDF) awarded by the Science and Engineering Research Board (SERB), Government of India, and the SAKURA Exchange Program Fellowship by the Japan Science and Technology Agency, Government of Japan. He has actively participated in several international conferences, workshops, and faculty development programs related to tribology, manufacturing, materials processing, and advanced engineering applications.
