- Dr. Biplab Das is working as an associate professor at the Department of Mechanical Engineering, National Institute of Technology Silchar, India. Dr. Das completed his Ph.D. from NERIST, Itanagar, India. Later, he pursued his Post-Doctoral research at the University of Idaho, USA, under the prestigious Bhaskara Advanced Solar Energy (BASE) fellowship from the Indo-US Science and Technology Forum and DST, Govt. of India. He was also awarded the ‘DBT Associateship’ by the Department of Biotechnology, Govt. of India, and worked as a visiting researcher at Ulster University, UK. He has 17+ years of experience in teaching and research and has published 150+ refereed international journal and conference papers. He has guided 12 Ph.D. scholars and 15 M.Tech. Students and is presently guiding 05 nos. Ph.D. scholars. Dr. Das is a reviewer of 30+ reputed journals of Elsevier, ASME, Springer, WILEY, etc. Dr. Das has been involved in twelve sponsored projects funded by various agencies like DST, SERB, CPRI, MoEF&CC, etc., worth 30 million INR, and has completed ten of them. He has been the organizing Chair of the prestigious International Conference of Computational Modelling Simulation and Optimization (CoMSO) for the last four editions.
