The Department of Mechanical Engineering, NIT Silchar, has dedicated well-established basic Fluid Mechanics Laboratory for the undergraduate course. Fluid Mechanics is one of the fundamental course that helps in understanding the unique behavior of fluid and its interaction with structures. This laboratory houses various fundamental equipment supplementing practical demonstrations of the concepts and principals that are being taught in the regular theory classes. Much of the undergraduate students starts their laboratory practices from B.Tech-2nd year onwards. The lab has sufficient seating capacity to accommodate the students in multiple batches.
