SHORT BIOGRAPHICAL SKETCH

Dr. Maity is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the National Institute of Technology (NIT) Silchar. Before joining NIT Silchar, he worked as a Lecturer in the Department of Production Engineering at Haldia Institute of Technology (Haldia, West Bengal) from 12th January 2009 to 31st August 2010. He served as an Assistant Professor in the same department from 1st September 2010 to 16th November 2015. He also worked as a Research Scientist in the Ministry of Steel & TATA Steel sponsored project entitled ‘Fatigue Behaviour Analysis of Spot Welded, Laser Welded and Adhesive Bonded High Strength Steel Sheet Joint’ under the guidance of Prof. Tapan Kumar Pal, Department of Metallurgical & Material Engineering of Jadavpur University and Dr. M. Shom, Researcher, TATA Steel Ltd. from 21st July 2008 to 5th January 2009.
